Last week, Dynamis took part in Scanautomatic 2007, where we built a complete robot cell on our stand using our SensActive™ system. In addition to Bin-picking, we also exhibited our new products – a pattern-laying module and an inspection unit.
“We had numerous visitors to our stand and many were impressed with our product display,” says Eric Lennermark, Marketing Manager of Dynamis.

The fair opened on Tuesday 9 October and concluded on the following Friday; Thursday was the busiest day, with around 8,500 visitors. On our stand, we demonstrated picking of unsorted parts direct from pallets with the aid of SensActive™ Bin-picking and robot. Once the robot had picked a part and checked the orientation in a repeat station, an inspection with dimensional check was carried out with the aid of our new Inspection Unit product. If the part was approved, the robot then placed it in a half-pallet on a roller conveyor from EIA according to a specific pattern managed by our new Pattern-laying Module product. The robot cell with SensActive™ had been built with the aid of safety fencing from Jokab Safety.
The Inspection Unit allows you to perform a rapid automated two and three-dimensional dimensional check in a simple and effective manner. The system scans the part, compares it with ideal values and reports any dimensional deviations outside specific tolerances. The Pattern-laying Module allows an operator to lay patterns for complete parts in a 3D CAD environment. This cuts down on hours of costly robot programming any time a new pallet pattern is to be laid. Both the Pattern-laying Module and the Inspection Unit, together with Bin-picking, form part of the SensActive™ range.
