Swedish company Lesjöfors Fjädrar AB was the first customer to order Dynamis’ new material handling system SensActive™, launched during the autumn. SensActive’s™ laser scanner measures the geometry of the spring, without contact, in three dimensions for visualisation and to ensure that the spring fulfils all geometric tolerance requirements.
“SensActive™ will make our quality and development work in production of vehicle springs significantly easier,” says Björn Persson, MD of Lesjöfors Fjädrar AB.
This order is the first for the SensActive™ system, which was launched at Tekniska Mässan (Technical Fair) in Stockholm on 3-6 October 2006. The launch attracted great interest from a large number of players within various sectors.

The fact that Lesjöfors Fjädrar was the first to order is particularly exciting, as spiral springs are regarded as being one of the most difficult items to check-measure. Eric continues: “We see a range of different areas of application for automated component handling with SensActive™. The order from Lesjöfors demonstrates just one of several ways of using the product. We believe that the greatest potential of SensActive™ is in so-called Bin Picking, i.e. picking unsorted material straight from pallets to supply a processing machine or perform an assembly or packing operation, etc.”
Lesjöfors Fjädrar AB (a subsidiary of Lesjöfors AB) is a leading manufacturer of springs for vehicles and other engineering industries. The factory in Lesjöfors is regarded as one of Europe’s most modern and efficient spring factories.
