There are three different systems: BP800 and BP800L which can both pick parts from full pallets, as well as BP450 which takes care of smaller parts from a so-called Schäferbox.
The Bin-picking system (part of the SensActive® family), uses form recognition to identify and localize packaged objects.
Form recognition, together with the principal of a laser light with a monochrome wavelength, suppresses the surrounding light. This results in a system which is much less sensitive to disturbances from surrounding light than the traditional visual technology, which works with contrast recognition against a lighted background.
Form recognition also permits the handling of complex part forms without defined surfaces and edges.
The system is used for handling material and picking and handling parts directly from a transport package with the help of a robot, e.g. a Euro-pallet with frame.
The handling is almost soundless and requires minimal floor area.
The parts can lie completely freely oriented in the package, even stacked, which means that the separation of layers of parts is not needed.
The system offers great advantages in the handling of complex parts, cast goods and forged parts.
The system is flexible and allows for fast resetting when changing components.
The simplicity of the system offers fast and easy installation where the packing of new parts is easily performed using a 3-D model.
