Exergy's first ”cell” was born in 1999, developed by two entrepreneurs from Bologna, Angelo D'Anzi and Gianni Zamboni. They established a company by the name of Roen Est to start production of PEM fuel cells. To support the industrialization process of fuel cells the company needed to find an industrial partner and in 2003 the company joined the industrial group Arcotronics and was renamed Arcotronic Fuel Cells. In the following years Arcotronic Fuel Cells developed products at the cutting-edge of fuel cell technology thus deserving well a good reputation and generating value.
At the end of 2007 the international Swedish group Morphic Technologies acquired Arcotronic Fuel Cells and the company name was changed to Exergy Fuel Cells. This was the beginning of a new era where technology, scientific research and production go hand in hand opening unique possibilities for the future.
Today's name is Morphic Exergy and the core business is the development and production of stacks and fuel cell systems. The company goal is to move forward to mass production of fuel cells.
